What we collect, and why

Enquiries

When you submit an enquiry we collect your name, email address, telephone number if you provide one, the enquiry type you select, and the content of your message. We use this to answer your enquiry and to carry on the correspondence that follows from it.

Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Newsletter

If you sign up we collect your email address only. We use it to send studio announcements and genuine updates. We do not use it for advertising or promotional campaigns, and the newsletter list is kept separate from any other sending list.

Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything sent before you withdrew it.

Accounts

Where an account is created we collect your name, delivery address, telephone number, and any delivery note you choose to add, along with your email address and a securely hashed password. We use these to maintain your account and to fulfil orders and enquiries associated with it.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract with you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request. This is used to keep the site available and secure.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
• We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
• We do not currently run advertising or analytics tracking on this site.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of service providers who process personal data on our instructions:

• Hosting provider — serves the website and retains server logs.
• Email provider — carries correspondence with you.
• Customer relationship management — enquiry and newsletter records. This connection is being set up; this section will name the provider and its location before it goes live.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering that country.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries — for as long as the enquiry is active, and then for two years, so we can pick up a conversation you return to.
• Newsletter — until you unsubscribe.
• Accounts — while the account is open, and then for six years where records relate to a completed sale, to meet Irish tax and accounting requirements.
• Server logs — typically a short rolling period set by the hosting provider.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to erase data, where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
• ask us to restrict how we use it;
• receive data you gave us in a portable format, or have it sent to another controller;
• object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent.

To exercise any of these, email enquiries@prestigehome.store. We will respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Irish supervisory authority:
