Who you are dealing with
Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business identified above. Please note it is a registered business name, not a limited company: the named individuals trade personally under it.
What this website is
This site is a curated catalogue. Most pieces are shown for enquiry rather than for immediate purchase, and the presence of a piece on this site is an invitation to enquire, not an offer to sell. Nothing shown here obliges us to supply a particular piece, at a particular price, in a particular timeframe.
Availability, lead time, dimensions, finish and origin are confirmed per piece in writing at the point of enquiry. Where the site says a detail is pending confirmation, that is literal and should not be read as an implied commitment.
Prices
Prices are given on enquiry unless a piece is explicitly offered for direct purchase. Any price quoted is valid for the period stated in the quotation and is otherwise subject to change.
We are not currently registered for VAT. Prices therefore contain no Irish VAT, and we cannot issue a VAT invoice or a VAT number for recovery purposes. Import duties or taxes that arise in the destination country remain the buyer’s responsibility, and we will tell you what we know about them before you commit.
How a contract is formed
- You send an enquiry, or place an order where direct purchase is offered.
- We acknowledge it. An acknowledgement confirms receipt only — it is not acceptance.
- A contract comes into existence when we confirm the order in writing, stating the piece, the price, the lead time and the delivery arrangement.
If we cannot fulfil an order after taking payment — because a piece is unavailable or a stated detail turns out to be wrong — we will tell you and refund you in full.
Delivery
We deliver worldwide. Lead time and delivery method are confirmed per piece before the contract is formed, because they vary considerably by item and destination. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Where a delivery date is given it is an estimate made in good faith. If a delay becomes significant we will contact you, and you may cancel and be refunded in full rather than wait.
Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the EU you generally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. Important exceptions apply to goods made to your specification. This is set out in full in our Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Faulty or misdescribed goods
Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything in these terms. If goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a remedy under Irish and EU consumer law regardless of the cancellation period.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the contract was formed, and where you are buying other than as a consumer we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity.
Content on this site
Text, photography, layout and design on this site belong to us or to our suppliers and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Where imagery is marked as a placeholder, it represents the intended composition only and is not a photograph of the piece being described.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of the EU country in which you live, and you benefit from any mandatory consumer protections of that country which cannot be derogated from by agreement.
The European Commission also provides an online dispute resolution platform for consumers at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes
We may revise these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in force when your order was confirmed.
