John-Richard

Furniture, decorative objects and wall art, finished by hand in gold leaf, silver leaf and gesso.

The studio

John-Richard is our first brand, working across furniture, decorative objects and wall art. The range spans upholstered seating, cabinets and credenzas, mirrors, and decorative pieces in glass, porcelain and brass.

The character sits in the finishing: gold and silver leaf laid by hand, gesso, veneer that reads differently as the light moves. Two pieces of one reference will not match, and we say so before an order is placed.

Before you order

Hand-applied finishes
Gold leaf, silver leaf and gesso are laid by hand, so no two pieces match. Each piece is confirmed against the record, not the photograph.
Lead times
Confirmed per piece, in writing, before an order is placed. We do not quote one until John-Richard has given it.
Prices
No price is published until we have entered one ourselves. Until then a piece reads Price on enquiry and the figure is confirmed in writing.
Lighting
Fixtures from this studio are held pending documented EU electrical compliance. They are not offered for sale, and their pages say so.
