Buying
How do I buy a piece?
Send an enquiry naming the piece. We reply in writing with availability, price, lead time and delivery options for your address. If you go ahead, we confirm the order in writing and that written confirmation is the contract.
Why are prices not shown on the site?
Because for most pieces the price depends on finish, fabric, configuration and destination, and a single figure on a page would be wrong for most readers. Where a piece has a fixed price and can be bought directly, it is shown with that price.
Is there a showroom?
Not at present. Everything is handled by written correspondence and, where useful, by call.
How quickly do you reply?
Within two working days.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
Worldwide. There is no restricted country list. Delivery method, cost and lead time are confirmed per piece and per destination before you commit.
How long does delivery take?
It varies too much by piece to give a useful general figure. Made-to-order furniture is measured in weeks or months rather than days. We give you the specific lead time in writing before the order is confirmed, and tell you if it slips.
Money
Do you charge VAT?
No. We are not currently registered for VAT, so prices carry no Irish VAT and we cannot issue a VAT invoice. Import duties or taxes charged in your own country are separate and remain your responsibility; we will tell you what we know about them before you commit.
Can I return something?
Consumers in the EU generally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Pieces made to your specification are excluded, and we tell you in writing before you commit when a piece falls into that category. The full position is on the Returns Policy page.
What if something arrives damaged?
That is separate from the fourteen-day right and is not time-limited in the same way. Tell us as soon as you reasonably can, with photographs if the damage is visible. We arrange collection at our cost. See Returns Policy.
The collection
Who makes the pieces you sell?
Every piece comes from a named studio, and we publish who made it. Our principal supplier is Meridien Marketing, and John-Richard is the first brand we carry. We are independent of both and continue to add manufacturers and designers on our own judgement.
Where are the pieces made?
It depends on the piece. The studios we work with manufacture in different countries, so we state country of origin per piece, only where it has been confirmed to us, and we make no general claim about the collection as a whole.
Why does the Lighting section have nothing in it?
Lighting sold into the EU has to meet electrical compliance requirements that must be documented for each individual piece. Until that documentation is in hand for a piece, we will not list it. The page states this openly rather than sitting empty without explanation.
Are the photographs on the site real?
Images carrying a visible “Placeholder” badge are not photographs of the piece described — they indicate the intended composition while real photography is prepared. Anything without that badge is the actual piece.
Contact and data
What languages can I write in?
English, Polish, French or German.
What do you do with my data?
Only what is needed to answer you and fulfil an order. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy.
Will signing up to the newsletter mean marketing emails?
No. The newsletter carries studio announcements and genuine updates only. The list is kept separate from any other sending list, and you can unsubscribe from any message.
